Case Study: From San Francisco to the World
With one week’s notice, the leading software company BEA Systems asked Online Video Service to deliver worldwide live and archived webcasts of its annual eWorld convention, a central element of the company’s communications strategy. The convention featured a keynote address by Tim O’Reilly, a major computer book publisher and coiner of the phrase “Web 2.0.”
Online Video Service quickly deployed its entire video-delivery staff and infrastructure to the San Francisco conference. Working with the event management company and the Moscone Center staff, Online Video Service installed and tested components that made possible a suite of webcast features that included:
- The live video feed
- Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
- Broadband Internet connections
- Archiving of speeches by O’Reilly and BEA Systems
- CEO Alfred Chuang
BEA Systems put Online Video Services flexibility and responsiveness to good use and expanded the impact of 2004 eWorld well beyond the San Francisco participants.
You can see for yourself what we can do for BEA, and what we can do for you.
